I would use a telephoto lens to lets say take a photo of a bird, a build if i was in a really far distance, i would use this lens if i was like outdoors and in the forest type of place mostly.
I would use a prime lens if I was downtown at night or sundown time and just wanted to shoot a couple of random photos.
I would use a wide-angle lens to take a wide shoot view of downtown austin by the ladybird lake, or on this hill that has a great view of the bridge and wanted to view the lake too.
Depth of Field- when you can looking into the photo and see deep into the photo and/or just like the whole place.
Light (angle) is just which way the light is pointing to.
Light (intensity) is just how close the light or how far it is to you or the main object of the photo.
Shadows- when the light is hitting the object in an angle and you can see the shadow of the object.
Diffusion-is when you control how bright or how low the light i, basically taking away light from your object, you can chose the type of light too.
Exposure- how much is viewed in the photo
Aperture(f-stop)- how big or small the open is, to let light in the photo.
Shutter speed- how fast the aperture opens and closes.
ISO- that controls how graining the photo is.
